Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate student enrollment, testing, recruitment, marketing and events for Adult Education. Act as ADA Coordinator as required by ICCB grant.

  • Coordinates Adult Education and Literacy staffing, placement, and scheduling of all pre-testing sessions and pre-registration/placement sessions on and off campus (over 30 locations every term).
  • Assist with the development and implementation of all IL state-mandated placement tests in order to properly advise and place/register the student into the appropriate class level.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to recruit students into academic programs and create community among all programs.
  • Coordinates and schedules informational, marketing and guidance presentations/sessions.
  • Develops and coordinates recruitment activities and special events.
  • Coordinates the development, distribution, and revision/updating of all program information.
  • Monitors and updates website and social media.
  • Develops and coordinates ADA program for Adult Education programs.
  • Assess learning needs, provide guidance and implement support services to help students meet educational goals.
  • Identify barriers and provide supportive services directly or through appropriate referral.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Qualifications:

    • Education
      • Bachelor's degree. required.
      • Bachelor's degree in Human Services or Adult Education or related field preferred.
    • Experience
      • 2 years in student services environment with student advising or placement experience required.
      • 3-5 years in student services environment with student advising or placement experience preferred.


    Working Conditions:

  • Computer, Microsoft Office Suite, multi-line phone, calculator, scantron, copier, and various printers.
  • Occasional local travel and weekend/evening work and ability to lift boxes of testing/marketing materials up to 25 lbs.
  • This position requires a background check and drug screen.

    Hiring Range:
    Classified 12 Hourly/25.00 - 27.00
